A Quick Guide to Ruining Your Life was nominated for four awards at the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival 2019, including Oldham Coliseum’s Pick of the Fringe award and it won the Write for the Stage Best New Play Award. The British Theatre Guide called it "a gem of a play" and "spellbindingly funny." They then went on to include the play in their Best of 2019 Guide.
